I've worked with Iswari and his team for over 20 years from trekking, to the summit of Everest and more. There is no better logistical supplier. It speaks volumes when a supplier becomes a friend. Over the last 20 years and numerous treks and expeditions Iswari and his team have become firm friends. Dear Iswari and the Himalayan Guide team, The BBC Mountains team (Emma, Jonathan, Maceij, Zac and 1) would like to send our ‘extended thanks to you and your team for organising our recent shoot to Gokyo, Nepal. “The level of service that we received from all members of the team was outstanding. The porter team were unrelenting. They ensured that all of our camera kit and personal bags made it to location in good condition and without delay. We really appreciate all their efforts to allow us to keep to the schedule. Our Sirdar (Ngima) and lead guide (isu) are world class. We are sure under your guidance Tsering will be too. Please extend our thanks to them for expertly ensuring the teams safety whilst all the while ensuring that everyone was able to meet the demands of the busy shooting schedule. One of the best surprises of the trip was perfectly baked pastries served with confidence at 4,750m. Dipak and his team of kitchen staff spoiled us on a daily basis with an excellent menu. It is a shoot that will be remembered by the whole team.

I write to express my sincere gratitude to Himalayan Guides for an excellent and successful expedition to Mera Peak in October and November 2013. in October 2013 a team of § British Police Officers, led by Berwyn Evans, embarked on an expedition to summit Mera Peak. Himalayan Guides provided all the necessary support, logistics and leadership, which ensured it, was a successful mission. From the outset in Kathmandu, through to the journey to Lukla, the trek into the mountains, summit preparation, summit day itself and indeed our return to Kathmandu, Himalayan Guides provided a highly professional and well organised trip. The whole of the Himalayan Guides team were outstanding and couldn't do enough for us, their hard work and commitment never ceased throughout the 3 week expedition. I want to say a big thank you to all of the team, the Porters, the Kitchen Crew and the Sherpa’s, however | do want to say a special thank you to certain members of the team who made the expedition the most incredible experience for us all (i) Bishal, Siba, Samir, Sonam and Pemba from the Kitchen Crew and of course Senior Cook, Surendra. The food produced by this team under the great leadership of Surendra was first class and beyond our wildest dreams. (ii) Sherpas, Karma and Khambu, who ensured our safety every step of the way, as well as working tirelessly at the camps before and after each day, ‘making sure we were as comfortable as possible and wanted for nothing. (iii) Most of all I want to thank CR our Sirdar. CR never stopped working. His leadership and organisational skills were outstanding. He ensured the excellent Himalayan Guides team performed to the highest level and it is without doubt due to his hard work and leadership that the expedition was a success. As an experienced mountaineer and qualified UK Mountain Leader myself, with my own company, Adventure Pursuits (www.adventurepursuits.org.uk), | will indeed be using Himalayan Guides in the future and recommending you to all my friends and colleagues who work in the mountains. On behalf of my trekking party, I am writing to thank you for organising our recent summit of Island Peak. Your work was first rate in the lead up to the trek, including answering our ‘numerous questions on the best gear to take and logistical arrangements in place. 1 would also like to particularly commend the professional assistance rendered by our guide. Dorje Khatri. Dorje was an excellent trek leader who paid close attention to the safety requirements of our group to’ ensure that we were able to go from Kathmandu to Island Peak and back in less than 10 days. On summit day, Dorje was instrumental in making sure that all three of us successfully reached the top of Island Peak. Again, thank you for your and Dorje’s fine work. I would have no hesitation in recommending your organisation to friends and colleagues attempting similar expeditions.

Thank you for everything that you did to bring home the body of my husband, Clif Maloney. You provided extraordinary assistance at a difficult time. My family and I are so grateful to you for coordinating the effort that enabled Clif to come home. Your patience and thoroughness were remarkable. From the Sherpas you recruited to go up the mountain to the yaks that you sent to bring Clif’s body around the mountain, you provided the crucial resources that made the effort a success. At a time of great stress, we were comforted by the knowledge that you had the expertise to coordinate with Marty Schmidt and to make the heroic arrangements needed to bring a body down from Mt. Cho Oyu. Thank you for all you did to ease our anxiety and, most of all, thank you for making it possible for Clif to come home. We will always remember You with gratitude.
