Glimmer Tour of Bhutan

Bhutam Glimmer Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nepal

Upon your first arrival in Nepal, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking flight into Kathmandu on a clear day. The panoramic view of snow-capped mountain peaks below, visible through the aircraft window, is like a scene from a postcard, one you’ll definitely want to capture on camera. We’ll be waiting for you at the Kathmandu airport’s exit gate and will escort you to the Manang Hotel in downtown Thamel, which we have reserved for your comfort. We recommend taking it easy on this day to acclimate to the local environment.

Day 2: Kathmandu

We have an exciting guided sightseeing tour of the culturally rich Kathmandu Valley, which serves as the historical and cultural heart of Nepal. Kathmandu Valley, Nepal’s capital city, has long been a sought-after destination for travelers, offering adventure, cultural exchange, study opportunities, and religious experiences.

The valley presents a harmonious blend of Hinduism and Buddhism, with a vibrant cultural and religious heritage. Moreover, you will witness the influence of Western lifestyle on Nepalese youth. Our tour includes visits to ancient imperial palaces, Buddhist and Hindu sacred sites, monasteries, temples, shrines, and more. These sites include:

  • Pashupatinath (a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva),
  • Bouddhanath (Nepal’s largest stupa, a sacred site for Buddhists, featuring numerous monasteries, pagodas, tsortens, and Tibetan refugee camps),
  • Swoyambhunath (Nepal’s oldest stupa, a sacred site for Buddhists, featuring monasteries, gompas, tsorten, and Hindu temples, providing an excellent vantage point for panoramic views of Kathmandu), and
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square (an intriguing historical and religious site, home to the old imperial palace, the temple of the living goddess Kumari, and more). After the tour, you will return to your hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Paro (Bhutan) Flight via Druk Air

In Bhutan, our colleagues will be ready to welcome you at Paro airport, holding a sign with your name. After a warm reception at Paro airport, they will escort you to your designated hotel. You will return to your hotel before sunset.
