Our tour will take you to explore ancient imperial palaces, Buddhist and Hindu holy sites, monasteries, temples, shrines, and more, all reflecting the ancient local traditions of Nepal. These places include:
The flight to Paro offers a spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjungha, Mt. Upon arrival at Paro airport, our colleagues in Bhutan will be eagerly waiting for you, holding a signboard with your name. On this day, we will organize a visit to Drugyel Dzong, a historic fortress built in defense against Tibetan attacks, Satsam Chorten Monastery constructed in memory of the late Dilgo Khentshe Rimpoche, Kyichyu Lhakang, Rinpung Dzong, National Museum, and more. If time doesn't permit visiting all these sites, we can include some of them in the next day's itinerary.
After breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu. Along the way, we visit Simthoka Dzong, built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1629. As we journey to Thimphu, we'll pause for lunch at a local restaurant before our guide escorts you to a hotel in Thimphu. Following a brief period of refreshment at the hotel, the guide will take you to Ta Dzong.
Today, we have planned a guided sightseeing tour that includes visits to Nunnery Gompas, Memorial Chortens, and Tashichho. After the tour, we will explore local markets, especially handicraft centers.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Paro airport to depart from Bhutan and return to Nepal. We will warmly welcome you back to Nepal and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu.
We have arranged an excursion to neighboring cities, Bhaktapur and Patan (Lalitpur), which were independent countries until 240 years ago.
